President-elect Donald Trump has said that the United States will become the world leader in cryptocurrencies during his next term.
President Trump told CNBC's Jim Cramer at the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday: “We're going to do great things with cryptocurrencies because we don't want China or anybody else…but other countries are also going to do great things with cryptocurrencies. “We accept it and we want to move forward.” Answered questions regarding potential strategic Bitcoin reserves.
President Trump's involvement in the cryptocurrency industry is a welcome pivot for digital currency investors, given the current administration's notoriously controversial ties to crypto businesses. The National Strategic Bitcoin Reserve, or stockpile, is one of Trump's many campaign promises to the growing industry that helped get him re-elected.
