Microsoft shared the growth in AI innovation achieved this year and it was “truly remarkable.”
In October of this year, Institut Curie, a cancer research center, partnered with Microsoft and Witivio to develop Copilot for Researcher. AI helps researchers with tasks such as managing administrative burdens, freeing them up for important cancer research.
Siemens and Thyssenkrupp worked with Microsoft to develop the Siemens Industrial Copilot. It is based on Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI service and is intended to close the skills gap in the manufacturing industry. Engineers used the copilot to program and operate machines, improving productivity and reducing human error.
“From the beginning I only spoke English, but today I discovered that it speaks German quite well,” said Marcus Schoenherr, an engineer at thyssenkrupp.
