Montenegro has officially extradited Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon to the United States after a protracted legal battle.
In a post dated December 31st
The transfer came four days after Montenegrin Justice Minister Bojan Božović approved Kwon’s extradition to the United States, rejecting a request from South Korea, where Kwon is also facing charges and has citizenship.
He praised the extradition and stressed that Montenegro supports legitimate innovations in technology areas such as crypto and AI, but has “zero tolerance for fraud.” He added that this extradition underlines Montenegro’s commitment to international justice and the rule of law.
