Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently praised Ripple CTO David Schwartz, praising his leadership and Ripple’s resilience in the face of ongoing challenges.
During a recent livestream, Hoskinson described Schwartz as “super smart” and “really passionate,” emphasizing his resilience despite Ripple’s ongoing legal battle with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
“Dave Schwartz is a great guy. He’s a brilliant guy. He’s a lot of fun to be in meetings with and I love spending time with him,” Hoskion said.
He further emphasized that Ripple has remained steadfast and continues to move forward despite lawsuits, delistings and regulatory hurdles.
Ripple has been in a legal battle with the SEC since December 2020, when the regulator accused the company of conducting an unregistered securities offering by selling XRP (XRP) tokens.
While Ripple won a partial victory in July 2023 – when a federal judge ruled that XRP is not a security when sold on public exchanges – the case is still pending, with appeals and unresolved penalties still in play.
However, Hoskinson remains optimistic about Ripple’s future, noting that the company remains resilient even after legal victories despite being banned, delisted, sued and forced to fight.
“They are still here. They are still resilient. And they have a bright future as a result.”
