Novocaine introduces us to Nathan Caine, a bank manager with a rare condition – congenital insensitivity to pain (CIP). This condition makes him unable to feel physical pain, a trait that becomes both a blessing and a curse when his girlfriend and colleague are taken hostage in a bank robbery.
