The word “crypto” made headlines around the world towards the end of 2024.
We are told that BTC has reached a remarkable all-time high of over $100,000; Nations large and small are vying to create strategic Bitcoin reserves, and in the US, the fate of the presidential election has been sealed because of the cryptocurrency.
We were also told that 2025 is the year of cryptocurrencies, where the sector will see massive global adoption and every major player will look to capitalize on it. Crypto is the new money, it is the future and it has arrived in its full form.
But what am I missing?
Let me say it for you: “Where are the women, dude, if 2025 is actually the year of crypto?”
Amid the cacophony and onanism (pun intended) surrounding crypto, female representation in the sector is, quite obviously, missing.
