Elon Musk is once again responding to reports that the Joe Biden administration is considering a presidential pardon for convicted FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF).
There has been considerable debate about the possibility that outgoing US President Joe Biden might grant an early pardon to SBF. This came after the popular Wall Street Mav first broke the news that Biden was considering SBF for a presidential pardon.
What is noteworthy is that the news has gone viral and prominent figures like Elon Musk have expressed their views on the issue. As previously reported, Musk, the founder of Tesla and a major Dogecoin proponent, weighed in on the matter, noting that he would be shocked if the Biden administration did not grant SBF a presidential pardon.
SBF pardon “will fetch a high price” – Musk
In a follow-up comment, he took a direct swipe at the Biden administration and suggested that monetary considerations could influence the president’s pardon.
In particular, he claimed that the current administration is “selling” pardons. Consequently, the world’s richest man stressed that the presidential pardon of the SBF “will come with a heavy price.”
This suggests that the SBF camp may be paying a premium to secure an early presidential pardon for Bankman-Fried.
This government is selling pardons and his will is fetching a high price

Given his ongoing criticism of the current administration, Musk’s statement comes as no surprise to many. His skepticism of the Biden administration led him to throw his entire weight behind Donald Trump in the just-concluded election, who ultimately secured the presidency in a landslide.
